Helping Hands Surgical Services & Pricing
Amputation
Helping Hands does not perform amputations in pets 90 pounds and over.
- Pets 0-30 lbs: $40
- Pets above 30 lbs: $50 + $1 for each pound of body weight above 40 lbs
Dental Procedures
(includes extractions and Full Dental X-Rays)
- Pets 0-10 lbs: $45.00
- Pets above 10 lbs: $45.00 + $4.50 for each pound of body weight above 10 lbs
C-SECTION
This price would include a spay in addition to a c-section. Pricing is for proactively planned c-sections at our hospital with doctor guided documentation surrounding due dates when the schedule allows.
Dewclaw
Exploratory & Foreign Body Removal
(includes diagnosis and treatment, if possible)

Growth & Mass Removal
Pricing is based on the size of the incision, which may be larger than the size of the growth.
Hernia Repair
(greater than 6 inches in length)
(requires spay in addition, see separate pricing for spay)
Helping Hands does not offer mesh for hernia repairs.
Knee Repair
We do not perform CCL/ACL repair on pets weighing more than 85 lbs.
Organ Removal
If your pet is in heat – Pyometra pricing will apply

Each of these prices has been formulated to include anesthesia/sedation, and any take-home medication including antibiotics, pain meds, and fluids that our veterinarians deem necessary. Some additional fees you may incur at Helping Hands Veterinary Surgery & Dentistry of Virginia would be for bloodwork or biopsies.

Example: Treatment for a 41-lb pet is $51 ($50 fee and $1 per pound over 40 lbs)
A longer-acting antibiotic injection that eliminates the need for antibiotic treatment at home.
